Surgical Services-Nurse Manager
Delegates and coordinates patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric surgical patients through the nursing process. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Assumes responsibility for the management of clinical and support activities and allocation of human resources of the unit while the department is open. Coaches and supports the team in accomplishing the unit and hospital mission. Ensures that care is delivered by those who are competent/trained to do so appropriate for the patient?s age, physical status, psychosocial status and cultural needs. Responsible for unit resource management, utilization and risk management. Performs duties of Director, Surgical Services and represents Director at hospital wide meetings in incumbent?s absence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required. RN licensure required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. Prefer at least three years professional nursing experience, including demonstrated management and Leadership skills.
