Modern office setting Growth opportunities We are seeking an experienced legal assistant/admin to become a part of our team to work in a fast-paced, small law firm.
You will provide overall administrative support to attorneys' business needs.
Compensation is negotiable and dependent on experience.
Job Purpose:
Enhances attorney effectiveness by providing information-management support, while representing the attorney to clients and others.
Responsibilities:
Provides excellent customer service from initial communications with clients and others through case completion; Works to convert potential leads to increase business; Assists with the drafting and reviewing of correspondence; Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; assisting with all aspects case preparation and file management; Maintains attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, dispositions, hearings, trials and travel; recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements while coordinating with multiple judicial entities, clients and third parties; Represents attorney to the public and to clients by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney or paralegal; Generates revenue by documenting and inputting billable time and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices; tracking payments and collections; Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential; Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; maintains client database; orders office supplies by checking stocks; placing and expediting orders; evaluating new products; maintaining budgetary requirements for firm.
Skills/
Qualifications:
Previous experience in legal field or other related administrative work; Excellent customer service; Proficient with Microsoft Suite and technologically savvy; Ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure; Impeccable written and verbal communication skills; Deadline and detail-oriented under minimal supervision; Able to work extended hours, when necessary and with prior notice.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
